  • It was the fault of the scientists who created it for not accurately predicting the devastating consequences it would have, which are still felt today.From what I have read, Japan may have been close to surrender, so maybe the dropping of the bombs could have been averted and America could have won the war, with far less Japanese civilian casualties But one good point about the bomb was that had it not been dropped, then we may have seen nuclear war during teh reign of the Iron Curtain

  • No, the Japanese are responsible for the bomb, by putting the US in a position where the US needed to have a bomb to stop a war. The Germans were also reasearching the bomb and but for the shortage of uranium, would have got there first. The bomb was going to happen anyway, it was important the good guys got it first.
