Counting the points i have got for questions, answers and moderation, plus the 25 points i got as a welcome, the total is 1269 points. However I have 1451 points. Where did the extra 182 points come from?

Points are changing constantly. You may have added up points from half an hour ago. I am sure the AB staff have the correct up to date amounts. Don't worry. You are doing well.

well don't worry about it. as long as you're not finding proof of points that should've been awarded to you but haven't been, you're alright. extra points are always good. and by the question, i think you'd probably make a good accountant. :P

Here's the thing. In a user's profile, it really doesn't add much to the same score with the total points. Here's my example. Questions: 7421 Answers: 22707 Moderation: 47315 Total: 77443 My total overall points are the sum of 79532 points. Why doesn't the points match with the total points? There are two reasons why. The first reason is the answer ratings. Before then, Answerbag did recorded negative ratings. Although you still keep your points totals, your subpoints actually decreased. This doesn't happen much anymore. The second and main reason is the moderation. You may not notice, but many questions and answers are becoming rejected and deleted. When a question is deleted, it doesn't become a part of your subpoints, but you still don't lose any points, and the same thing for answers too. As far in the moderation, it's been supicous that more moderation points are given in a flag sometimes. The staff is currently checking on that problem.
