As a toddler you crawl on all fours
As an adult you walk on two legs
And as an elder you walk with a cane

Hmmm...I heard the 4 legs, then 2 legs and 3 was a person, crawling as a baby, walking as an adult and with a cane when old. Not sure with the morning, evening and legs though....

the human race.Morning refers to us early in life,we crawl,so we say four legs, when we get a little bit older we walk on 2 legs, they say "in the evening",and when they say at night they refer to us in our old age, where we have to use both our legs and a walking stick, making it 3 legs.

wrong, the answer to all three is a baby. true, it crawls around on all fours, but cut off two of the legs and it can hobble around on 2. give it a crutch, and it can go around on 3.

What walks on 4 legs in the morning, two during the day, and three at night?
What walks with 4 legs in the morning, 2 legs in the afternoon and 3 legs at night?
What at dawn walks on the 4 legs, at noon walks on 2 legs and at twilight walks on 3? this is the riddle sphinx posed to oedipus.
