No never. Some of these people on here get very rude or offended over the smallest things... I think it's ridiculous!!! :P We all have the right to ask or answer whatever we want to.
-
Probably not, what was the question? If you are talking about Science_Geek I think you need to get a grip because you were not being "slammed".
-
I dont think so. Of course I try to put myself in the position of the person asking the question. I know I'd feel horrible if someone slammed me for asking a question. I look to see if the answer required needs to be serious or light hearted and respond accordingly.
-
No- what is simple to one person may not be to another. The purpose of AB is to ask.
-
no it is not alright to slam someone for asking a simple question, It seems that some people feel that there the only ones who are right and think they trule the roost here. We have the right to ask and answer any questions here, and not have the fear of being berated about it. I hope this makes a little sense.
-
No. It is not right to slam somebody for asking a question. If somebody does take offense at an answer that is given then they should consider why a particular answer offended them so, unless it was clearly directed at them by name.
-
Is this site not a q+a site?. You ask questions that you don't know the answer to and people who do know then answer them. What may be simple to one could be difficult to comprehend for another. Therefore the 'simple' question does not exist.
-
No its not ok...if they easily get that upset over a question then i'd hate to see the reaction to answers/opinions that they dont agree with. go get some anger management to control your out burst. honestly there really isnt any need to slam or put ppl down for asking....hope they dont slam a child when they try ask them simple questions. the art of patience..
-
No its not right to slam anyone. What might be a silly question to you may well not be to some one else, its rude and arrogant!!!!
-
I have reviewed both threads and Your question is fine, the thing to remember is that AB has members from all over and you will find that answers will come to your questions from a wide range of people, People who will have different views than what you may expect. That is what diversity is about. As far as is it ok to slam people for their question? NO if you find a question nonsense or offensive then mark it as such, The same with an answer, the AB staff will get the flag and review it and make a judgement call on it. If they agree with you then it will be flagged and or removed. But to get into a personal slamming contest with someone else is unacceptable at any time.
-
No I don't think it's ok, same with dragging others into an arguement.
-
I totally think it is wrong if it is a legitamate question. although I do think there are some questions asked on here that are more of a joke (considered a joke also by the one that asked) I know alot of people are downrated for mis-spelling a word, I really think people out to lighten up a bit with that. Because I seriously doubt that anybody on here hasn't made a spelling error. It should be about the questions and answers.
-
Doesn't it depend on the question?
-
I think any question is worth asking, I don't understand why some people downrate opinion answers either.
-
Is the question really that simple?:-))Either you had a simple question or the slapping end is nuts in the head.:-)
