Certainly not by mentioning that little tidbit. If you concede that the policeman measured your speed acurately, pay the fine. And if you will forgive the semon, don't speed. This is not a game between you and law enforcement, as I infer from the tone of your question. My family's safety is on the line. ... Au Contraire, I think I did answer the question. The only concrete information in the question is that he had not yet installed a countermeasure to the speed detection device used. I can't imagine an attorney who would touch that as a defense. His only defense would seem to be that the laser device did not measure his speed accurately, either because of inherent weakness of the technology, a flaw in that particular device, or incompetent operation by the officer. I have inferred from the question that that is not the case. I can't then imagine a defense which would keep one's integrity intact, and I'm not the one to recommend that compromising one's integrity. The best way to fight the ticket by not fighting it. He can go to court, plead guilty and see if the judge will give him a break on the fine. I'm not an attorney, I'll be happy to hear what the legal minds out there think of my opinion.

Now hear this...........lasar is radar. the newest technology that the supreme court has approved many times on drivers appeals. lasar radar is so far advanced than regular radar, that most police agencies have made the switch. as far as lasar shifting equipment........what the heck is that??? do you mean a radar detector? no matter, save your money. they do not work and besides, once your alarm is sounded, its too late. lasar radar works off a very secret frequency and nothing effects it.

I would definitely NOT use any sort of argument like this, because I can guarantee it will make your situation MUCH worse. 1. These items are illegal to use in most areas. If you admit that you use one, be prepared for additional charges to be laid. 2. If you start mouthing off about that, it tells the judge that your speeding is deliberate and calculated, that you have no regard for traffic law, and that you are willing to resort to illegal means to avoid detection. At best case you'll get the punishment that was coming anyway. At worst case, expect the judge to throw everything at you that he/she can. And remember, the law usually makes provision for severe repeat offenders or those deemed to be a hazard to the public to be permanently banned from driving. I've seen it happen. 3. Even if you did have a detector/jammer, it still does not affect the fact that you were caught speeding. Basically if you start complaining on this line, the judge will probably laugh at you. 4. It does nothing to justify why you were speeding.

If you got hit with laser, pay the ticket. laser is so effective that it can pinpoint a letter on the back of your license plate. You were speeding, you got caught. Pay the fine and drive safely. Someone out there cares about you.

As others have mentioned, not speeding is a good starting point. If you're determined to fight the ticket anyway, don't mention the bit where you have radar detection in your car. If you were in a high traffic area, you might - might, mind you - be able to argue that the cop hit someone else's car instead of yours. In some states, traffic tickets are automatically canceled if you show up for the hearing and the cop doesn't. Be ready to lose, though. You were speeding and you got caught. Chances are you'll have to pay up.

First, lasar radar and regular radar operate entirely different. having a radar detector in your automobile is a waste of money, agains the lasar. it operates on so many different frequencies, that a detector cannot determine the correct frequency in time. What is lasar shifting equipment??????????????? Thats a new one on me. You will not beat a lasar radar citation. there have been test cases all the way to The Supreme Court and each case has been held in favor of the lasar unit. Go to the four hour defensive driving class.
