Not all girls hate talking about Star Wars. In fact, there are many female fans of Star Wars. However, it's natural for anyone to get tired of hearing someone go on and on and on about a topic like some fans do. And if a girl (or guy) truly has no interest in a topic such as Star Wars, the person they are with is probably being rude by pushing the subject further. They'd probably much prefer to be asked about their interests. Perhaps common ground can be found that would make a suitable topic for long conversations. Of course, girls (and guys) can dislike Star Wars for a variety of reasons. E.g. too much violence, just don't get it, over-marketed, too serious, too preachy, etc. (not necessarily true or even my own opinions) Personally, I like Star Wars and I'm female, so you never know.

I dont know why it gets them angry. sometimes they enjoy the conversation, but with my last girlfriend...... she dumped me because i took her to SW III as an aniversery date :[

Not all hate Star Wars, my girlfriend liked it, I said as a joke, "Anakin Sucks." And she turned to me and kicked me right in the leg, and then said "next time its going a bit higher right into where the sun don't shine." I was not about to see if she was joking.

Because, when you're going on and on about how Han shot first and how Arcona get addicted to salt and how Sith use Synth-crystals to make red lightsabers....you're not paying attention to HER, stud. Eventually every nerd has to learn to grow up a little and master some basic socialization skills. One of these is the ability to tell the difference between another Star Wars fan who wants to hear the latest about Asajj Ventress, and a normal person who would just be bored by it. And then here's the trick--you modify the responses you give based on your evaluation of the other person's interests. Imagine how you would feel if she wouldn't shut up about 'American Idol', or 'Lost'...

It is just boring. If a guy starts talking about Star Wars, then we immediatly put him into the too childish category. He would be bad in bed, bad at commitment and just a boring date.

I don't think that girls actually hate Star Wars. They are just geared TOTALLY different than guys. I'll have to admit though, that when I'm sitting next to an attractive woman, the last thing on my mind is Star Wars.
