Why do the questions about gays get so many answers?

Because gay people are cool.

I think that homosexuality gets alot of answers because alot of people have been touched (figuratively, not necessarily literally...) by the gay people of the world. Either they are gay, or know someone who is, or they don't necessarily agree with it. It's something that I think most people have an opinion on, and have an answer to give.

Because even though we may not be gay ourselves, we are interested in understanding something which until only relatively recently has been secret and behind closed doors. Im not gay, but I live with several people, one is gay, and I ask him questions, he's ok about it, because I want to understand him as a human being.

It's an attention getting type question. Anything that's on the edge will spark people's attention. Whether you're gay or straight, you feel compelled to answer these type of questions. Religious and current event questions also garner a lot of responses as well.
