  • The reference ranges differ for each enzyme in the test, and is must be remembered that values outside these reference ranges may still be normal for that person, as the reference ranges encompass 95% of the population, so 5% of the population will have perfectly normal values which appear as abnormal on a test. The reference ranges used differ from lab to lab, but most are similar. The ones used in my hospital are as follows: Alkaline Phosphastase (ALP) (adult) 20-200 (child) up to 230 Alanine Transaminase (ALT) 10-40 Gamma glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) 0-45 Male 0-29 Female Albumin 37-49 g/L Aspartate Transamine (APT) 0-45 Total bilirubin 0-17
  • my liver count is 99
  • Don't forget to take into consideration any disease process a person may have. Lab values are a guide based on a healthy person but baseline results for an individual can be outside of the "normal limits".
  • My amylase count is 200, the Dr says thats ok. I had liver failure and it was over 2500. Boy was I sick. Mine is still alittle high, normal is 60-160 U/dl.
  • Iwas told by my Dr that 3 times over the normal becomes a concern.
