I should think if you came up with an answer to your own question, then why not?

When you ask a question the is a area that say's "Answer your question " so it is set up for that - I have answered a few of mine when I had a story to tell and wanted to share with others

I think it doesn't matter. I have asked a question once and then used an answer window to explain what my own views were because there is not enough space in the question frame to elaborate about the question.

Yes. Sometimes people just want to share a great question that they have along with an answer to the question they posted. There is nothing wrong with that.
