  • Gosh, we made lots of fun things. One I remember well was a plaster of paris plaque that read "Bless this house oh Lord we pray." I still have it today. It hangs on the wall in our gameroom. You obviously wouldn't be allowed to make one with "God" on it nowadays. We also made placemats with construction paper where you weave the sheets together. They didn't last long. I don't believe we had laminating materials then. One project we melted crayon shavings between two sheets of waxed paper. We felt so BIG because we got to use an iron. Probably couldn't do that one these days either. LOL
  • We did the usual finger painting, crayolas, We also cut out things with blunt edge scissors, made things with clay and Plaster of Paris, and did things with construction paper and that old white safe "paste glue." I still can kind of remember the smells of the paints and glue and clay. My teacher was Miss Bruce. A lovely woman who we all loved. She was one dedicated teacher. My mother even kept my report cards, and I looked at my card from Kindergarten. I got good marks except she said I seemed abit shy and did not do well at "nap time." lol We had a rug we used on the floor to take a nap, and we had a snack I remember also. Usually some sort of juice and 1-2 Graham crackers. Funny remembering that stuff now decades later. Such simple carefree days.
  • i cant remember all the things i made but i do remember a couple of things. 1) we made this poem with our moms name and typed it out 2)we went out into the woods next to our schools and took paint and pressed weird looking leaves into it and made this sort of colorful leave scrapbook 3)every year on mothers day we picked out a flower arrangement to give to our mom I cant remember anything else but i know theres alot of weird things we done
  • The dreadful macaroni necklace
  • we glued pasta to paper to make words, we made butter in a glass jar pass-shake-pass-shake, som art thing with dreft soap and a glass jar
  • I can remember a picture frame we made from paper strips. I liked it so much that I taught my own kids and their class how to make it when they were in kindie. It's a nice and affordable mothers day present when the children glue their own photo inside the frame.
  • I remember the ashtrays but mostly I remember being told off all the time for sliding up and the down the hall wearing just socks (it was a polished wooden floor).
  • I remember making the pot holders and p of P hand imprint thingy, lots of finger paints, waxed leaves and all the stuff that she threw away within a week.
  • mostly I remember making drawings with crayons and paintings with finger paint. Oh and a weaved paper Easter basket made with strips of colored paper.
