Why are some questions answered and some not. Please don't say cuz they were stupid questions.

In short, questions are answered/unanswered because people either know the answers or they don't. I'm not trying to be flip here. People WANT to answer questions, and they reply to those they can answer. If you take a look through all the "Unanswered Questions", you'll notice that many are technical and require specialized knowledge to answer. You get into trouble when you know little about the intricacies of a certain subject, but based upon what the question APPEARS to be asking, write something funny or cute. That's a good way to find out how big the gap is between what you THINK is right and what actually IS right. Learned that one the hard way.
