Whenever you want! Just make sure your baby is readily able to drink from a bottle. I breastfed for 3 1/2 months with my first son and I am still breastfeeding my 4 month, which WON'T take a bottle. My 19 month old is perfectly fine and healthy and HUGE. The choice is yours and your babies. New studies are show that there are very few differencs between breast and formula fed babies anyhow.

Whenever he/she could (or will) take a bottle, or able to hold a "sippy cup". That's what mine did at about 10 months.

When ever you and the baby are ready to ween. The American Pediatrics recomends that you breast feed for at least one year. And up to two if possible. But even if you decide to ween early you can still pump your milk and bottle feed. If you can't that's no big deal. I was only able to breastfeed mine for 4 months before I had to stop because of poor milk supply and working. And my sons are both healthy.
