I don't know how old you are referring to. I will be 42 shortly and I have seen a lot of people screw up their lives. Hopefully, I can learn from their mistakes.

Wisdom. Knowledge. Experience. No homework :) Seriously, there is a reason why we respect our elders (or should)...They have been through life's greatest struggles and survived. We should consider ourselves lucky, if they choose to share their wisdom and experiences with us. The things you can learn from them is umlimited, if you only open your ears and your minds. My Father is 84 years old. He lived through the Great Depression and World War Two before he reached age 25. Short of Jesus Christ, I don't think there is anyone for which I hold more respect. If you have the opportunity to listen to an older person's story, take a few moments and hear what they have to say. You'll never be the same.
