Consuming refined sugar is a health risk.
Driving a motor vehicle is a health risk.
Drinking alcohol is a health risk.
    Sex is a health risk.
Smoking, on the other hand, provides a relaxing break that lowers the stress level for many people.
No, I don't smoke but it's none of my business if you choose to smoke.

No, we don't all know it's an above average health risk. It's a matter of what you choose to believe. Everything we do is a health risk. I'm not a smoker. I have smoked a cigarette here and there but it's no addiction. Sheeple joined the anti-smoking movement because of the highly funded and effective advertisements, the research, and studies funded by guess who? RIGHT -- big pharma. They had smoking cessation drugs and created a market for them. It's a legal activity and there should be no repercussions for doing it. The taxes on cigarettes are outrageous and unconstitutional.

    Over and Out

I'm not a smoker .. but I do know that smoking can be an addiction and that's why people continue to smoke even when they know the health risks. It's not a rational choice.

But smokers have to want to quit before they do. It's always interesting when they do quit .. they often become the biggest objectors to those who continue to smoke.

They say nicotine is MORE addictive than heroin so just tossing the smokes away and saying "I'm done" is not the easiest thing...But it can be accomplished. :)

I smoked on and off over a ten year period. I stopped two years ago last November.....here's what happened.....

I had been struggling in an attempt to try to give smoking up. As someone who believes in God, I would even tell God how sorry I was; that I knew that smoking was bad for me; and that I really would do the very best I could to give up. I was trying to use the little white lozenges that come in a dark blue container. Only problem was, I would take out the lozenge after 10 mins, have a smoke, and then pop the lozenge back in my mouth......
.....To the very best of my knowledge, I (unawares) didn't smoke for 2 days - and THEN it suddenly dawned on me that I hadn't smoked for 2 days. I had zero cravings from that time, onwards. I sell cigarettes as part of my job. My adult son smokes at home. Absolutely zero temptation....

My dad, and my adult daughter (when I did smoke) tried to "make" me understand the seriousness of the smoking issue......Deeeerrr - I wasn't stupid. I KNEW it could be bad for me. Just like others state - it can be EXTREMELY addictive - and prove to be very difficult to overcome.....I KNOW I didn't do it by myself.

    Do take no health risks?

If so, why, since we all know they are?
