I have just recently bought Ratchet and Clank used. The Game will get through the first cutscene and the screen will go dark and won't work. The game has scratches but I have no money or a disc doctor. How can I fix the disc or get it to work?

yo mate what ya need to do is get a bottle of t-cut (car scrach buffer) from ya local gararge right then put a bit on a cotton bud an rub slowly in tiny circles all over the disk after about 3 mins wash it of and dry the disk. but now the disk may scrach easier so be extra carfull wit it.

A similar but cheaper solution is brasso, either the liquid or better still the wadding. use in the same way as billybob discribes T-cut. Brasso contains silver polish which is even finer grade polish than T-cut.
