Hispanic or Latino of any race were 13.95% of the population. There were 31,449 households out of which 33.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.2% were Marriagemarried couples living together, 17.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.1% were non-families. 29.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
