Help answer this question below.

I´m trying to find out about a person I once knew in Switzerland, and I have reason to think that this person is dead. How do I find out? Is there any official list of people who have passed away?

    do you know, in which city/village this person lived last or in which city/village he/she had his/her papers (that is the city of origin of the father)? then you can call "einwohnerkontrolle" (if not in phonebook, look for "gemeindehaus"). they can tell you.
