I have a male Yorkie. I bathe him every three to four days because he stinks really bad on his stomach. What should I do to make this awful smell go away?

Have you talked to your vet about it? It sounds like some sort of infection to me.

If this is a issue where he has tinkled on him self have it clipped there and that should help

It may just be a scent male dogs put out. Other than that, it may be an infection, and whenever you find something that doesn't seem right, take your pet to the vet anyways, just in case.

yea i have the same problem with my cocker spaniel he just wreeks! it could just be he is takin in an odor by his fur if you shave it and buy a strong scented shampoo then it should go away...... make sure u get all over him and it may just be his glands which will need to be cleaned as well.....

The smell, especially since it is on his stomach area, could be the dogs smegma. That is his natural discharge and is creamy-yellow in color. It has an odor to it. Cleaning off the dogs genitals once daily could help, but the dog usually licks himself to keep himself clean.

We had a female small dog that smelled very bad. We found that by changing her diet, we changed how she smelled. It was like her skin was fighting allergies or something. Her skin was oily and dry and flaky at the same time. And it got worse when we spayed her. But when we took her off all grains and put her on bones and a few veggies, she improved greatly.
