I have full coverage insurance and just totaled my friends car in an accident. He only has liability, can I apply my insurance to this accident since I was the driver?

    Only if your policy states that you're covered when driving another car.

    Every insurance company is different so you'd have to read the fine print in your own policy to get an accurate answer.

    In my state, auto insurance covers the driver, not just his vehicle. your insurance may also have this coverage. all states are different. contact your insurance agent.

    Read your policy, but in most cases the insurance follows/covers the vehicle and not the driver. So, in most cases, your insurance could not be applied to your friend's car.
