Question

Help answer this question below.

We've all seen "dancing" cars. How hard would it be to make a "walking" car that lifts up one wheel at a time, moves it forward, and sets it down again, thus making the car "walk" like a horse?

    Pretty hard.
Car suspensions normally move up and down and replacing the shocks with hydraulics/gas-bags does not change this fact. That means that you can make a car "dance" and "hop" relatively easilly.
Getting the wheels to move forward and backwards would require a total replacement of the entire suspension, and most likely would run into problems including but not limited to the tires hitting the front/rear of the wheel well or the suspension being unable to hold the suspension in a proper position to actually drive, especially at speed, thus rendering the car strictly tow-and-show.
