  • You can lose more and get away with it if you totally relax if severely injured and you are losing lots of blood - if you know help is coming slow your breathing right down. Running around panicking speeds up the heart and raises the blood pressure. Movement also requires more oxygen than lying still. People have survived losing 6 out of 8 pints.
