It could be what you call a boil or it could definately be something more serious. Have it checked by doc.

If you shave, it sounds to me like an ingrown hair. I don't know of any way to treat them, but they can get infected, and they are really very painful.

This is most likely a swollen lymph node. If it is sore, it is probably because it has enlarged quickly -- generally a sign that you have some kind of infection started nearby. It is a common reaction to a yeast infection, for instance. You should get checked out if it stays enlarged, however.

sounds like a lymph node which would probably indicate an infection somewhere in your body. However i myself get "nodules" that appear in this area as well as in my trapezius muscles (the muscle between your shoulders and your neck) that is directly related to my "cycle". If this is a recurring thing, it could be hormonally induced, but please ask your doctor of course.

It could be a sebacious cyst so if I were you, I would have it checked out. Possibly a sweat gland type of cyst. Good Luck

I have the same thing, only its on both sides and mine really hurts too. It hurts for me to walk sometimes because my pants rub it. I'm scared to say anything to anyone and I am only 17. I know it's not a sexually transmitted, because I've never done anything. i'm really worried. I'm scared it's something i need to tell someone about but i dunno how to bring it up. does anyone have any advice? Email me at blue_eyes092yahoo.com. thanks
