Help answer this question below.

If i unlock my Samsung Mantra phone, will it work for the Virgin Mobile beyond talk plan?

I just bought my Samsung Mantra phone because i wanted the beyond talk plan. But they said i cant activate it to that plan because it isnt eligible and i dont wanna spend more than 70$ on an ugly phone...so if i unlock the phone will it work? or is there any other advise?

    Unlocking only applies to GSM phones. Virgin Mobile USA uses Sprint's CDMA network, so unlocking is not something that even applies to your phone type.

    Besides that, unlocking refers to enabling a phone to work with a different carrier. Since the Samsung Mantra is already a VIrgin Mobile phone, unlocking it has nothing to do with what you are asking.

    Your question is really just regarding what plans you are eligible for on your current carrier. If they already told you that you aren't eligible for the Beyond Talk plan, then you probably aren't.
