lets think about what a fart is... its buetane, methane, propane, blah blah blah the gases given off during the chemical decomposition of what your eating regularly. if you have ever been around a oil refinery, the refinining process releases the same gases... they don't smell good. soo in short farts will always smell, there nothing you can do aside from turning on a fan or liting a match. get over it.

OMG IDIOTS TRYING TO ANSWER!!!!! methane, propane, butane (any alkane) has NO SMELL! its the mercapto functional groups (sulfur bonded to a hydrogen molecule) on other molecules that gives rise to the stench. That is why these thiols AKA mercaptans are INSERTED into propane so we can smell a gas leak. SO keep ur diet low in sulfur so these molecules dont exist that much in ur body, therefore producing a less of a stench when you FARTTTTTTTTTT. oh and beans make u fart, but are low in stench molecules.....so STOP ANSWERING QUESTIONS YOU DONT KNOW, PEOPLE .......DAMN.

Umm...best way to stop them from smelling is to stop them from happening. Beano is my best friend when I am going to be out around people. Holiday dinner? Beano! Beans and hotdogs at work? Beano! Night out with the girls? Bea..naw screw it, they will start a farting contest once we have a few drinks anyway! Seriously, the Beano works. I was so thankful for it last Thanksgiving, because that is when I met most of my hubby's family. I did bring my remote control fart machine and have fun with his brothers, but at least there were no embarrassing odors wafting from my backside!
