If you have a college with a geology department in your town, then I would check with the faculty of that department. They should have geologic maps of your town that will show where the faults are. However, you should keep in mind that not all faults have been discovered. So, just because the map does not show a fault does not mean that there is not one present. If you don't have a college near you, do you have a natural science museum? The staff geologist(s) at such a place should also be able to help you.
