Boy, thats an open ended question. Whithout a clear set of parameters, who can tell? Wood , bronze, plastic, ceramic? I would suggest you poke around the website of the international sculpture center here: http://www.sculpture.org/ The magazine has a lot of references in it and may be able to help. Push comes to shove, drop me a line and I'll help you figure it out.(follow the links on my website for email John

Contact local art galleries. Cost depends on many factors.

Whew, that's a tough one, with no more guidelines than you've given. It all depends on medium (wood, bronze, plaster, etc) and what size you want, as well as the subject. Do you want to commission a portrait of someone, or a freeform landscape piece?? What are you looking for? A desktop size, or something heroic? You might contact Sculpture House in New York, or the academy at Loveland, CO. Or pick up one of the fine art magazines (Southwest Art, Wildlife Art News, etc) and look through them. To get a really good artist to do a one-off is not going to be cheap. You can also try doing a Yahoo search for sculptors in the type and medium you want. If I can be of more help, drop me a line.

It depends on the type of sculpture you are looking for. It is nearly impossible to give an answer based on such a small amount of information about the sculpture you need. First decide what you want the finished sculpture in. Bronze or metal will cost a lot more than say fiberglass, plastic, or a plaster type material. As far as hiring a sculptor, they are out there. You may want to try posting an ad on http://craigslist.org. You can try http://www.davidballart.com for just about anything. Also I have seen some ads on sculptor.org. Who ever you hire I would look closely at the experience of the sculptor and their work. I have encountered many sculptors who talk a good talk but don't sculpt well and conversely, brilliant sculptors who are horrible salesman with the later being more common. Good luck.
