How long ago did you get the policy, sorry i assumed that you had gotten the policy. Did you or someone else get the policy? Was the insured diagnosed with the disease prior to getting the policy? Was the policy cancelled in the two years after getting the policy? As yoy can see there are a lot of questions. If policy has been in place for a while, the company has NO leg to stand on in court. I would recommend taking them to court in that instance. However, if the information was known Prior to ins. co. giving the policy and then it was found out (inside two years) they can and will drop the policy. The risk is too great for them to accept.

First of all having the disease materially affects the risk being assumed by the insurance company. However, if the policy has been in force for two or more years then they can't cancel it because of the discovery.
