    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

According to Section 113 of Title 43 of Oklahoma Statutes, a child who is 12 years of age or older has a right to state his preference in matters involving that child's custody and visitation. If the judge refuses to honor the child's preference, then the judge must state the specific reasons for such failure in a written order.
