Help answer this question below.

When driving my car, I hear a ticking noise from the back of the engine near the windshield. As I speed up, the ticking noise gets faster. What could be causing this?

    a lot of times they put the evap purge solenoids along the firewall. its possible thats all it is which is normal, but check oil and for exhaust leaks.

    It could also be an exaust leak, check for holes in your muffler

    the same exact thing just happened to my car today....i checked the engine oil and it was empty....i would check your oil...it could be the same reason....after i put oil in it...the ticking stopped.....afterwards i'd recommend getting an oil change...
