The transmission in my 2000 Acura Integra GS grinds every time I shift at high RPMs, why does this happen?

    You suck at shifting cause i have a 97 ls turbonetics t/3 t/4 turbo and 220,000 miles on the engine and i have my Tac set at 6900 rpms and no problem at all

    Hello.

    I have a 200 Acura Integra GS-R.

    The grinding is caused by worn out synchronizers in the transmission. They can be replaced, but it is going to cost you a few hundred dollars. The only way to "help" the situation is to shift SLOWLY and from lower RPM's so that the worn-out sychronizers can do their job (matching the gear speeds). You must have some miles on that car. Acura transmissions are almost bulletproof.
