Well I hear it's good for you, but the taste is hard to get used to. So yes its good(for you) but maybe not good tasting

The Australains like it.It has a tarty, salty taste and is sometimes put on toast. It takes a little time to aquire a taste for it.

G'day SLeidman, Thank you for your question. As an Australian, I like it. Like most yeast extracts, it is salty but it is sweeter that other yeast extracts such as Marmite. It has a high proportion of vitamins and low in fat and sugar but high in salt. I have attached sources for your reference. Regards References Wikipedia Vegemite http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vegemite Vegemite http://www.vegemite.com.au/

Vegemite is great, but it is an acquired taste. We eat it from childhood in Australia, thus we grow up liking it. It is high in B vitamins, contains folate and tastes great!
-
Ugh no, it tastes foul. But it is supposed to be good for you. I'd take Marmite any day of the week - it lacks the bitter/vege taste present in Vegemite.

Vegemite tastes great! I grew up with it (like most Australians did) so Im used to the taste. But that is just my opinion. It is also quite good you.

vegemite is unreal...really good! http://www.AussieFoodShop.com is your best bet for vegemite
-
No, it tastes terrible! And everyone I've talked to, who didn't grow up in Australia, hated it. But they really love it in Australia, so it must be an acquired taste.

Nobody needs that much salt. The closest American food to vegemite is "concentrated beef bullion" http://astore.amazon.com/anastabperche-20/detail/B001E5E2AO
