    Great Answer

    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

    Export Favorites

Open Internet Explorer 8 on the old computer, and click "Favorites." Click the small arrow next to "Add to favorites," and then click "Import and Export." Choose "Export to a file" and click "Next." Choose "Favorites" to export and click "Next," and then "Next" again. Make a note of where the file is to be saved, and click "Export," and then click "Finish."

    Transfer the Favorites

Burn the saved bookmarks file, named bookmark.htm, onto a flash drive or other storage media to move the file to the new computer.

    Import Favorites

Open Internet Explorer on the new computer, and navigate to the "Import and Export" menu as before. Click "Import from a file" and click "Next." Make sure "Favorites" is checked and click "Next." Browse to the "bookmark.htm" file that you transferred from the old computer and click "Next." Click "Import" and then "Finish."
