    Goodland is located at (39.348583, -101.711148). Goodland is 3638 ft. (1109 m) above sea level. Not very far outside the town is the highest point in Kansas, Mount Sunflower. This is, in reality, a hill.

    According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 11.4 km sq (4.4 square miles). 11.4 km sq (4.4 mi sq) of it is land and 0.23% is water.
