    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Bob Hope has easily hosted more Academy Award ceremonies than anyone else: 18 times between 1940 and 1978. That's more than twice as many as the nearest runner up (Billy Crystal, who hosted eight Oscars). Ironically, Hope never won an Oscar himself, though he received several honorary awards throughout his career.
