The transformation of Canada into an independant nation, made official by the British North America act, effective July 1st, 1867.

Originally Canada was made up of just Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.

It's when a couple of the British North American colonies formed together into Canada in 1867. More joined afterwards.
