Help answer this question below.
A typical smoke vaporizer consists of a small base that heats the herb and a plastic balloon-like bag that attaches to the top of the base and collects the vapor.
Once the vapor is collected, the balloon is detached. A special valve allows the user to smoke the vapor at his or her convenience, allowing for complete freedom of movement and greater safety.
Vaporizing herbs greatly reduces the amount of tar and toxins inhaled. Since no smoke is produced, the user only breathes in warm air and vaporized plant ingredients.
Because the vapor is so pure, users can achieve the desired effect with a much smaller amount of material smoked.
A 2006 study conducted by researches at Leiden University found vaporizers to be a safe, effective herbal delivery system that delivers all the medicinal benefits with none of the respiratory disadvantages associated with smoking.
