    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Minneapolis-Moline, a company which produced farm equipment, created the first "jeep." The Armed Forces used it in World War II and men in the Army at Camp Ripley, Minnesota, named it. However, the Army later accepted a new design from a company named Willys. The Jeeps and SUVs of today are based upon this design.
