TV commercials and Internet sites both suggest that taking paid surveys online can make you extra money. Signing up for a paid survey site is easy and the business qualifies you for surveys of its choice. After completing a survey, you are paid through a PayPal account, while some offer payment through a credit card or bank account. Generally, the website that you sign up for decides which surveys you should take, so you cannot pick and choose. Paid surveys are very time consuming and pay out a minimal amount. Although $5 for 45 minutes of time is cash that you wouldn't have made without the survey, they are time consuming and it would be hard to make any substantial cash. Some websites have a point feature--you will receive points for your completed surveys, but it's hard to switch those points over to cash. Paid surveys are real. They are also time consuming and not an easy source of profit. When finding a paid survey site, be sure that you aren't signing up for an "offers" site in which you'll have to sign up for certain offers, such as credit cards or insurance, to receive your prize or payment. On One Hand: You Can Get Paid for Online Surveys
