This ain't really a download but you can create a playlist & add it to your favorites & use the pop up player & listen to the music you want while surfing the internet. www.playlist.com its free but you can't download & burn cds or anything but you can listen to the songs you like over & over again

Listen to me. Downloading free music is illegal. Just because you download it from a different site doesn't mean it's legal. In the same way, just because you get your drugs from a different dealer, it's still illegal. The exception here is iTunes which has a couple different artists that post their songs on the site. However the "big" artists that your looking for all want your money and you must buy it from them. What I do is check cds out at the library, take them home and rip them. It's free in a way for me, but the cds have been bought somehow (taxes) so the artists still get their money.

YES and no... You can get a free account at http://www.rhapsody.com and listen to 25(?) free tracks a month. There's generous!

but you're not supposed to be able to save them.

google the following and adapt to suit whatever you want.

    intitle:"index.of"[mp3]"song.title.or.artist.name.here.always.separated.by.dots"

Ive used Limewire for about 4 years now, no problems. BUT, people can access your info and files through Limewire or any other pirating software. Alot of identity theft is done that way. I have two computers, one for my important work/life needs and one for play and frivilous downloads, that way there is nothing anyone can access from me, besides music, pictures and other useless junk.

If you mean safe from getting caught, then I suggest mIRC it is the undernet. It's very hard to track down peoples ip addresses on it.

If you mean safe from getting viruses, then I suggest you get the free Avast real time antivirus on-line scanner. Just google Avast.
