Reproductively, fresh sperm are more likely to fertilise ova than stale sperm, and they are more likely to produce healthy children. So it is a good idea for the man to "turn over" the supplies when he is not having a sexual relationship. And it is also a reproductively good idea if a man is always "ready for it" so that when he finds a willing woman, he takes advantage of it immediately. But if he is "ready for it" and doesn't have a partner, he needs to relive the pressure.

Cuz we're horny. Constantly. Always. it's biological/evolutionary, cultural, and mysterious. If you have a male partner who masturbates even if he's "satisfied" don't take it personally. NO OTHER PERSON can take the place of masturbation. Even if one has a lot of sex with another person, there are just times when it feels right to beat off. Besides, guys have been jacking off for years before they're in a satisfying sexual relationship, so it's a matter of habit. Not only that, but we like novelty, so even if we're "faithful" it meets our needs to fantasize. Needless to say, if we're in a relationship that isn't that satisfying ( and I've met precious few men who ARE in such relationships), we masturbate to get some relief.

Well, I cannot speak for all men. But yes, If I don't do anything at all for a number of days, then all I can think of is sex, sex, and sex. On the other hand, five not unpleasant minutes and the pressure is let off. It isn't "the real thing", which is many orders of magnitude better, but it is both pleasurable and relieves the pressure. But then I am at the mercy of my stomach as well. If I don't eat for a number of days, all I can think about is food, food and food. And if I give up breathing for more than a few seconds, my attention is *really* captured.

No - as I say (and as you asked), five minutes masturbation solves the problem for a day or two. But if you are getting the real thing, masturbation is unnecessary. There is absolutely no need to be unfaithful except with ones hand.

Not really. The mind can still be fantasizing about the unavailable partner. Though I guess most men actually think about other women from time to time even when fully sexually satisfied, even if they are and intend to remain completely faithful. Just as I sometimes imagine how nice it would be to pull of a really big robbery, even though I intend to be completely honest, ant I wonder how I would do things if I were a terrorist. You cannot stop anybody thinking "What If..."
