Typically I don't give any one a title of best ever. There is no exception for Simon and Garfunkel, they were musically gifted indeed. Also, their songs were poetic, and those poems were brought to life by the harmony of the voices that portrayed them. I'd say they're in my top 10, but I can't say they're the best ever.
One of the best, arguably the best.
They had some good songs, and were tuneful.
They WERE extremely talented...
Some of my favourites are "The Boxer", "Homeward Bound", "Sound of Silence", "I am a Rock","Bridge over Troubled Waters". True Classics!
Not by any stretch of the imagination, they wouldn't even make my top 25. Although they would probably be right up there Bee Gee's and Abba in my top 200. There they are 187, 188, and 189, you choose the order when it gets out that far it really doesn't matter.
Eagles, Stones,John Fogerty, Moody Blues, CCR, Doors, Three Dog Night, Neil Diamond, Dave Clark Five, Animals, Righteous Brothers, Jay and the Americans, Nittygritty Dirt Band, and I guess I'll put the Beatles and Elvis somewhere in my top 25.
