Seriously... Is the Nintendo Wii worth buying? First of all, there's so many accessories I would need to buy to have an enjoyable gaming experience. There's the 2 Wiimotes that I'll need for both me and another player, 2 nunchuck controller attachments, rechargeable batteries, battery charger, classic controller for virtual console games... There might be something I'm missing, but you get the point I'm trying to make. I've wanted to get a Wii for so long now but I'm having second thoughts.

We don't really miss having a second set of controls. I do use my classic controller but you can have lots of fun straight away without it. You do however need a minimum of a full arm space between you and the ceiling light, and as much clear space as possible in the room. The batteries last quite well imo. but then we don't play it to exhaustion we tend to use it as a group, playing golf etc. It's not an essential piece of kit, but it is a fun one.

It's still cheaper than Playstation 3 or XBox 360. Depends on what type of games you like. I know someone who has the Wii and his whole family loves it.
-
Why not? six million and a half people have already bought it, so there must be a reason. Oh, and i loved my 55 hours (and more) spent playing the latest Zelda. Of course, yes, it depends on what kind of games you're looking for.

Do you need to ask?

if you like kiddy games

It's not just kiddy games. I have resident evil for the Wii with the gun holders it kicks ass. and yes you should, there great because you actually have to "get into the game" make yourself stand and be a part of whats going on, great for kids, great for adults and great for your health.

We love ours. It's great for game night with a group playing the sports games and the trivia games.

The Wii is a fun family system, but to the serious gamer, it's kind of repetitive in that the Wii games all seem more or less alike. Serious gamers tend to like Wii as a SECOND gaming system, but their PC or PS3 or even XBox gets more use in the long run.

The Wii comes with a Wiimote and nunchuck, so you would only need to buy one more of each. it'll cost you about 50 bucks. There are charging stations that go for about 30, those aren't necessary. Only if you play daily. You also don't NEED the classic controller to play old games. You can use the wii-mote, and for Gamecube games you can just plug in your Game-cube controller. But because the Wii is cheaper, only 200 bucks, it really is worth it. Just make sure you buy it at Game Stop or EB Games because other places may make you purchase a bundle for a lot more money. The Wii's are hard to find, however if you talk to a Game Stop employee and find out when shipments come in (usually 11-1) and you can wait for your wii. You might be waiting around for a little while, but you won't have to wait in a line or anything. The price isn't likely to drop until the introduction of a new system, so don't wait on that. And the reason Wiis are so hard to find is because they manufacture them so there's only a 2% defect likelyhood. If you really want it, get it.

Depends... good for families who want to play on it together, party games and younger children. I like the XBox 360 the best.

Wii Fit and Wii Music Oh, and Manhunt 2

It all depens on your game tastes. If your a more family-game player, then the Wii is the way to go. A majority of the game for Wii are suitable for all ages, while PS3 and Xbox 360 are more for the hardcore console gamers (in my opinion anyway)
