    It depends on the type of drug test that you take. The NCAA, for example, bans any of its athletes from consuming vitamin water or energy drinks that contain taurine. Taurine naturally occurs in the body and often appears in infant formula, so it is unlikely to cause a false positive for any illegal drugs.
