Depending on your diet, not long at all. Maybe 3-4 weeks. But...listen to your body, and DON'T over-do. Quicker isn't always better.

I say have a day of rest in between each if you are doing intense workouts. Even with cardio your body needs rest or else you wont feel energized and ready to go the next time you go at it. If your not extremely overweight you will see a difference very soon within 4 to 6 weeks but u also have to remember you need to get strength traning in and eat healthier. Atleast cut down on some of the bad foods in your diet. Eat them in moderation, and give yourself healthy snacks thru the day. With all these working together you may see results faster and even feel more alive and energized. Which, gives you more confidence to keep goin at it. Good luck!

Dont weight train and do cardio in the same day, it gives a weaker result if they're not concentrated on by themselves. Don't start out with so much cardio so many days a week; gradually build up to that. You only need to start with 3-4 days, 5 at most, because when you get up to the 5-7 day mark you are actually not doing it for health reasons, you will not get the results you want, and your body is going to be put on a strain from trying to do all that cardio work. Your body needs REST. You only need to work out 3-4 days for improvement. I only ran 3 days a week to train for a half-marathon and i saw improvements like you wouldn't believe.

Training is only about 20% at the gym, in my opinion you should focus more on your diet because the better the diet the better building blocks you will have for your muscle growth.
