    McDonald's shakes are made with ice cream. McDonald's uses reduced-fat vanilla ice cream in its strawberry, chocolate and vanilla "Triple Thick Shakes" and in its "McFlurry" shakes. Additional ingredients in the shakes include corn syrup, water, caramel color and other ingredients that vary by flavor.
