My 3 yr old rott/chow mix had a ham bone on sunday and now he has diarrhea and blood and bone bits in his stool. he wasn't eating today, but I got him to eat a little bit, and he did drink some cold water. HELP, what should I do?

    Take him to the vet now! He might have bone splinters in his intestines. They can puncture holes internally. Your dog needs professional attention.

    Get him to a vet. Feeding bones to dogs can be very dangerous because they splinter and can tear the bowel. We had a dog who died like this.

    Get an appointment as soo as possible to give your pet the care he may need and the peace of mind you want.

    I think you need to take him to a vet. None of us here are experts and it sounds like he needs vetinary help. I hope he gets better soon!
