My son was playing with pen, he threw it and that hit my laptop screen. Now i can see a small (approx. 3mm) cut on my screen. I just want to know what can be done. It is still under warranty, i purchased on Black friday, can they change the screen or any other suggestions?
Put a dab of vaseline on the cut and rub very lightly, it should not be visible after you are finished. Wipe it gently with a clean soft cloth. good luck..
If it's just a scratch and not a crack or bleeding out, it's probably not going to do anything beyond cosmetic damage. I doubt that it would be covered under warranty but it's worth a try. Depending on they price of the laptop, sending it in to get a replacement screen may not be worth it, as professional replacements can be hundreds of dollars. Personally, I would do the replacement myself. There's plenty of tutorials on the internet, and it's a pretty easy job. LCD screens go for around $50-$150 on ebay. Plus, there's always the pride you feel if you fix it yourself.
