husband and I took one week cruise to Bermuda from Charleston SC. Going there on a cruise is the most economical way to go. But pack for very warm weather. You'll be in the pool and maybe in the ocean. It is a spectacular place to see. We felt completely safe there. Hamilton is the capital and pretty but quite hilly. The ferry is inexpensive and you can get a transportation pass to use the ferry and the busses - we bought a pass at the post office and it was the most reasonably priced item we found during our visit. The dockyard is great for some unique shopping and Hamilton is a busy city with everything a city should offer (even closing off downtown for festivals). Everyone advises against foreigners renting cars or scooters as tourists tend to be involved in accidents quite frequently. Our ship docked in Georgetown and that was our favorite part of the island. If you take an island tour you can pretty much see everything in one day. So enjoy the sun and the fantastic beaches (all beautiful with great scuba sites). If you're female, take those pretty swimsuits and sundresses. My husband was comfy in polo shirts and khaki shorts. Have a great time. We're envious.
