In Asia the age is 16. I was 14 when I had sex with a 25 year old and subsequently at the age of 16 I was sleeping around with guys far more older than me alot. Moral of the story? If you start young, you most probably get hooked and in this case fetish with older men.

Crazysad, I am usually always calm, and this issue is not of any concern to me. You need to calm down. YOU are the one who asked the blogosphere "what do u think of it" and you got my opinion. But if you post a question like the one here, you are asking to know what others think. If honest opinions, honestly shared are going to get you worked up, then keep your issues to yourself and don't tell everything you know on answer-bag.
A 46 year old who has sex with a 16 is breaking the law, as I pointed out. But without a complainant, there is little chance it will be prosecuted. On a purely personal level, a 46 year old who has sex with a 16 year old is lucky to have such a young partner. The 16 year old is lucky to have sex with such an experienced partner. Both, per your report, seem to be enjoying the situation. That's all I have to say about them.

The age of consent in New York is 17, but unless the young person is caught or confesses, the authorities will not get involved. If both parties deny they are having sex, without proof, there won't be any body going to jail
The bigger issue is how is this your business? If you don't have a dog in this fight, I'd suggest, as Ann Landers used to say: MYOB. Find a member of the opposite sex and spend time with them. That way, you can have your own business to mind. You sound a little jealous to me, and even if you are being altruistic, it's still none of your concern, unless you are approached by your friend for help or support. Clearly they aren't thinking about you, despite how hard you are thinking about them.

apparently in NY its not legal. The age difference while not bad in itself could mean that the older man is unfairly exploiting the young girl. not knowing either, it is hard to tell.

What do i think of it, i think it is disgusting, some who is that many years senior. Who ever the 16 year old is, is just a child themselfs, if it was my friend i would say something and quick, Before something happens they both regret.
I think the 43 year old needs to take a long hard think to themselfs and ask themselfs what they are doing.

Sadly, it is illegal!!! I do not think that there should be an age of consent in the first place. I was 25, met my wife when she was 13, married her 5 yrs later, had out first child when she turned 21, just after she graduated from college, second after law school, or third last week. Quite a few more do not work out, but it is what it is!! I do not have a problem with it, as long as she is not being physically hurt and it is her choice!!! Many....many girls are involved in relationships like these and all is cool until for some reason it is discovered by a parent, wife, or friend, and the therapists get involved, then it snowballs into her being sexually abused by tentacles as a child.
