Men (and women too) should take defense driving courses--which usually result in an auto insurance discount. In addition, always compares quotes from several companies because each insurer calculates their rates differently. compared to women, the male drivers pay around £17,000 more for their car insurance because of the following reasons:
- young men have over twice as many auto accidents as women. men still account for 30% to 50% more accidents than women.
- men are principally responsible for the most severe accidents, they are accounted for 84% of the fatal accidents involving young drivers while women caused 16%.
- male also have worse records than females in other significant aspects
- most of them are single and without families
